The Nitecore Concept 2 LED flashlight is a hand-held searchlight with superior output and an impressive beam throw. This palm-sized LED flashlight measures just 4.42 inches long yet can deliver a brilliant 6500-lumen maximum output. How many other hand-held flashlights offer such a bright output while still fitting comfortably in your hand? The Nitecore Concept 2 can easily be compared to the TM28, which is over 5.5 inches long and offers a 6000-lumen Turbo mode. This newly-released LED flashlight is, therefore, smaller and offers a brighter output, while the TM28 offers a farther throw. Not only that but the Concept 2 is more sleek-looking and stylish!
Multiple Modes for Multiple Uses
The Nitecore Concept 2 is more than just a bright flashlight. This LED light offers five output modes ranging from a 1-lumen Firefly mode to the aforementioned 6500-lumen Turbo, thus accommodating your varying needs from illuminating a tent or campfire area to searching in the far distance for critters or creatures. While impressive to use such a bright light, it is important to note that this flashlight will generate heat when in Turbo or High mode. The Concept 2 is fitted with Nitecore's Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module, which is designed to regulate the output while maintaining optimal performance. Even with this safety feature, we recommend using the Turbo and High modes for short periods of time in order to prevent injury. It is also best to activate the lockout mode in-between uses to prevent the light from accidentally turning on. Simply turn the light off and then half-press the side switch for over two seconds. The light will flash once to notify you that lockout mode is in place. To unlock the flashlight, simply press and hold the switch for over two seconds. In addition to the lockout mode, the Nitecore Concept 2 LED flashlight also offers a memory function, which returns you to your last-used output mode, as well as instant access to Turbo mode, with a simple press and hold of the power switch.
An Output this Bright Needs a Powerful Battery
This hand-held LED searchlight is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery pack that offers a massive 12,400mAh capacity. The battery pack is made up of four high-drain 3,100mAh Li-ion cells, which are necessary to deliver such long run times. Included with your purchase is an AC power adapter, which brings your light back to full charge in about five hours. A blue power indicator light will illuminate to notify you of a connection of power. The same indicator light doubles as a power indicator. This blue LED is located underneath the side switch and will flash to indicate your battery's voltage status. When the battery pack is at its full, 4.2V power status, the indicator will blink four times, followed by a one-second pause and then blink two additional times.
